Grease must be the way we are feeling, because the musical is making a comeback.

After appearing on Broadway and the silver screen, the T-Birds and Pink Ladies are set to hand-jive onto TV sets. Fox has revealed plans to air a live-action version of Grease next year.

One does not simply reboot Grease without creating a little hype. Add the success of NBC’s live Sound of Music with Carrie Underwood, and Rydell High enthusiasts are blowing up the Web with their celebrity casting predictions.

No official casting news has been released, so we created our own fantasy roster of stars to inspire Fox. It’s a group that goes together like shoobop sha wadda wadda yippity boom de boom.

Taylor Swift as Sandy

It’s Swift who could teach sweet Sandra Dee about summers of love, not the other way around.

Bruno Mars as Danny

The Super Bowl Halftime Show proved it: This man’s moves, style and hair are slicker than “Greased Lightning.”

Harry Styles as Kenickie

Somehow, portraying the flirtatious leader of a similarly dressed group of dudes who really care about their hair doesn’t seem like a stretch for Styles.

Miley Cyrus as Rizzo

There are worse things Rizzo could do, and Miley has already thought of a lot of them.

Robin Thicke as Teen Angel

There are no blurred lines about it: Frenchy’s future is bright. She just needs the right soulful tune to show her the way.

The Pink Ladies

Kelly Osbourne as Frenchy: Kelly’s already played a pink-haired teen who seeks advice from musicians. Don’t believe us? Just watch reruns of The Osbournes.

Ariel Winter as Marty: We’ve watched Winter grow up with the wacky cast of Modern Family; now it’s time to see if she can handle high school and choreography.

Rebel Wilson as Jan: The Brush Up jingle is begging for a revamp from the sarcastically silly Aussie. Brusha brusha, motherflosser.

The T-Birds

Josh Hutcherson as Putzie: What’s harder to survive, your senior year of high school or The Hunger Games? Only Hutcherson can decide.

Joe Jonas as Doody: With the Jonas Brothers broken up, Joe can find boy-band coziness once more in the loving arms of the T-Birds.

Nick Jonas as Sonny: Or Fox could cast two JoBros as the musical’s goofy duo. The partial reunion would surely draw a entirely new group of squealing girls to Grease.
