Justin Theroux admits the limelight got a lot brighter once he started dating Jennifer Aniston.
To deal with the ever-present paparazzi,
actor says he invokes his inner The Leftovers Matthew McConaughey, and everything is all right, all right, all right.
“My life changed a lot,” he tells
magazine in its August issue, crediting Elle his relationship with Aniston. “More people are like, ‘Hey, man!’ And I don’t think that’s from my role in John Adams.
“But it only changed as much as I engaged with it, and I learned very quickly: Don’t ever engage with it. Just JKL [Just Keep Livin’],” he says.
The pair, who
became engaged in 2012 after dating for more than a year, have had to contend with false reports about their relationship.
“It was a learning curve, but it wasn’t as traumatic as you might expect,” he says. “It’s just annoying. Occasionally you’ll get a stewardess congratulating you on, I don’t know, whatever, some three-headed baby we just had.”
