Miranda Kerr Really Does Take Her Dog Everywhere
Supermodel Miranda Kerr may love posing for the cameras, but her affection for pooch Frankie is no mere photo op. It seems the Yorkshire terrier — and furry love of Kerr's life — really does follow her wherever she goes, whether it's on a jet plane, at a cover shoot or to the farmers market.
While promoting her new skincare line Kora, Kerr revealed several personal moments from her life, including the still-small baby bump she has just started showing.
Autumn Reeser's Puppy 'Hurls Herself at Everything'
Autumn Reeser has her hands full. The Entourage actress, who told us about her new rescue pup last month, is finding out just how chaotic life with a little one can be.
"She has such puppy energy — she hurls herself at everything!" Reeser told PEOPLEPets.com at Dior Beauty’s private luncheon benefiting Operation Smile.
It was when Reeser took Sadie to a family reunion at her parents' house that she discovered her pooch's nascent athletic abilities.
Lea Michele's Secret Side Gig? Animal Rescue!
Lea Michele may seem a lot like Rachel Berry, the ambitious girl with a killer voice she plays on the hit show Glee, but she definitely has a softer side, one that isn’t often in the spotlight. Michele, who got her start on Broadway, doesn't just warm up her vocal chords during her downtime — she has also managed to find time to rescue a few animals!
The Emmy-nominated actress and singer tells PEOPLE, in its upcoming Glee special issue, that she once saved six stray kittens she found on the Paramount Studios lot.
"They probably would have been eaten, so I rescued them," she says. She gave three of the kittens to one of the show's directors, another one to Heather Morris, who plays Brittany, and kept two for herself. Morris named her cat Zach, while Michele named hers Claude and Sheila.
Country Singer Eric Church Saves Two Homeless Cats
For most people, the Fourth of July is about barbecues and fireworks. But for singer Eric Church, this year's holiday weekend was devoted to keeping two homeless cats alive.
According to his blog, Church found the mother-son pair wandering around a lakeside subdivision in North Carolina while he was out for a run that weekend. Realizing they were "literally starving to death," he took them in, naming them after fellow country crooners June Carter and Jesse Colter.
But what should have been a happy ending had a hitch.
Bo Obama: The Tarmac Is His Playground
Do his eyes light up at the sight of the tarmac? Do his ears perk up at the sound of the chopper blades spinning? Bo Obama may be young, but this well-traveled and well-heeled pooch sure knows his way around the country's air stations!
On Sunday, the First Dog was escorted onto Air Force One in Massachusetts, where he and his family had just wrapped up a 10-day vacation at Martha's Vineyard. They then headed to New Orleans, where President Obama and the First Lady helped mark the five years of recovery since Hurricane Katrina. (Alas, no shrimp po'boys for Bo!)
Comedienne Lisa Lampanelli Adopts Her First Dog
Comedienne Lisa Lampanelli has a pretty thick skin, as evidenced by the racy jokes she rattles off regularly on Comedy Central. But recently, she's felt herself softening up a bit, thanks to a near-weightless ball of fluff: her rescue Yorkie, Parker (named for Sarah Jessica, of course!).
"He's not a typical puppy — he doesn't freak out, run or chew," Lampanelli, a first-time pet owner, tells PEOPLEPets.com. "We tire him out by playing with him, running with him. He sleeps a lot, and likes to be on your lap a lot, too."
AnnaLynne McCord's Cat Likes an 'Outdoor Dressing Room'
Though her rumored beau Kellan Lutz may just be Hollywood's biggest dog lover, 90210's AnnaLynne McCord is all about the kitties — particularly her cat, Mouse.
"I absolutely love him," she told PEOPLE recently at the Breakthrough of the Year Awards in Los Angeles. "That's like my little puppy dog."
