Lauren Conrad's Dog Eats Costumes, Not Candy on Halloween
Shopping is one of reality star Lauren Conrad's essential pastimes, but one item definitely won’t appear on the fashionista's shopping list — a Halloween costume for her dog, Chloe.
The former Hills cast member talked to PEOPLEPets.com at Dior Beauty's luncheon to benefit Operation Smile on Thursday and said that while Chloe is doing "fantastic," dressing up won't be on the 2-year-old lab’s fall to-do list.
Spotted: Nicky Hilton Cozies Up to a Koala
Nicky Hilton went from the catwalk to walking among wildlife during her visit Down Under. The designer, who was in Sydney to model during Australian Fashion Week, visited with a curled-up koala on Wednesday at the Taronga Zoo.
She wanted to get even closer to the fluffy marsupial, but Tweeted that she wasn't allowed to cuddle it. "I was just informed [it’s] illegal to hold a koala in New South Wales. You can only pet them," she wrote. No exceptions — not even for heiresses!
VIDEO: 'Huge' Star Nikki Blonsky Says Her Pugs Cry When She Leaves Town
Nikki Blonsky has a conundrum. The Huge star simply adores her pugs Rocky, 5, and Frankie, 1, but doesn't get to take them to Los Angeles, where she films her show.
"They're both attached to me at the hip, they won't do anything without me," she tells PEOPLEPets.com. "They both cry when I'm packing my suitcases." And sometimes they even sit in her suitcases to prevent her from leaving town.
Linda Gray’s Tuxedo Cat Is Dapper Like Cary Grant
We knew Linda Gray best as Sue Ellen on Dallas; she would ride on horseback at the sprawling Ewing family ranch. And when her children were small, Gray says she kept quarter horses and dogs. But today the actress, who plays a key role in the upcoming film Expecting Mary, out Sept. 10, has paired down the animals at home to some Koi fish and an elegant tuxedo cat named Dugu.
VIDEO: Drew Barrymore's New Dog Is the 'Best Little Cuddler' in the World
Drew Barrymore and her pooch Flossie had a lot of good times. The chow-yellow Lab mix, a rescue dog, even saved the actress and then-boyfriend Tom Green in 1998, when their home caught fire. But sadly, the pup died last month at age 16.
"She had a good life," Barrymore told David Letterman on Tuesday's Late Show. "What more can you ask for, 16 years with your soulmate sidekick?"
'Glee' Star Jenna Ushkowitz's Childhood Dream? To Be a Vet
Some girls dream of being princesses, others want to run for President. Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz wanted to be a veterinarian.
Her career aspiration to work with animals developed after some promising childhood forays into musical theater (she was singing at age 3). Ushkowitz, 26, who now has a puppy named Riley, had always loved animals, and thought she might follow in a veterinarian cousin's footsteps. Or maybe go into marine biology —dreams change quick when you're little."I
‘Real Housewives’ Star Sonja Morgan Gets a New Poodle
Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York has a new cast member, and this one surely won’t be involved in any catfights: Sonja Morgan has welcomed a new miniature apricot poodle named Harllee!
The pup joins Morgan’s other pooch, Millou, 15. “I think the new dog will spark a little life into the 15-year-old,” Morgan told PEOPLEPets.com at a dinner in honor of the Blerancourt museum in France. She says she lets a numerologist from Quest magazine choose the spelling of each dog’s name. "We went with Harllee [for the new puppy], and the numerologist is still working on the spelling,” says Morgan. “We’re using the double-l because it makes you feel good and the ‘ee’ because the name has to add up to seven [letters].
