When Jenna Fischer decided to leave St. Louis twelve years ago to try her luck in Hollywood, who else did she pack into her Mazda 323 hatchback for the road trip of a lifetime? Her beloved cat, Andy, who she rescued from a friend’s apartment complex over 16 years ago.
After scoring her breakout role as receptionist Pam Beesly on
The Office, Fischer says she had a wish list for her publicist. According to this month's
Self magazine, one hope was to get a picture of Andy in a tabloid, and second, she aimed to grace the cover of The Pet Press, a free L.A.-based magazine.
“In my imagination, Andy’s always telling me, ‘You go get ‘em,” Fischer has told PEOPLE. Considering she’s on an Emmy-winning show, and has accomplished both of her early goals, Andy has a lot to be proud of.
