Meet a Celeb, Help Farm Animals! All Thanks to Ellen and Portia

Axelle Wousen/Bauer Griffin

Ever wanted to do yoga with Russell Simmons? Or have a one-on-one chat with Alicia Silverstone? Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are giving you that chance!

The animal-loving couple have lent their names to Farm Sanctuary's "Peace for the Animals," a star-studded holiday auction filled with 65 unique (though pricey!) experience-based items: a meeting with Alicia Silverstone, yoga with Russell Simmons, a private-catered dinner with Big Love's Ginnifer Goodwin, VIP tickets to The Ellen DeGeneres Show and more! (A $1,000 gift certificate to Prada? Yes please!) Bidding closes next Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Farm Sanctuary is the nation's leading farm animal protection organization. Founded in 1986, it has worked to expose and stop cruel practices of the food animal industry through research, investigations, youth education and more. Two shelters — one in Watkins Glen, N.Y., and the other in Orland, Calif. — provide lifelong care for hundreds of rescued animals. All proceeds from the "Peace for the Animals" auction will go directly toward the cause.
