When Shirley Youngs (catlover55) brought home a cat sculpture by local New Zealand artist Bodhi Vincent, she thought she was just expressing her ardent love for cats. She didn't expect her cats to turn on the helpless work of art! They hissed and attacked, and Youngs photographed Clive, her 2-year-old Persian mix, letting the sculpture know who's boss.

"My friends have often teased me that I must have been an Egyptian in a past life because I worship cats," Youngs tells PEOPLEPets.com. The present owner of four felines, Youngs named the sculpture Horus after the Egyptian sky god, and suspects that Horus has a bit of "true cat essence" as well as the "bird spirit" of the god Horus.

Mother-daughter Asian elephants Carina and Karnaudi got into the spooky spirit of the season on Thursday, playing with a pumpkin at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Fla. The 650-lb. gourd was filled with fruit and leaves — no candy! — and the two had a blast rolling it around. It's pumpkin-carving, animal style!
