Talk about body language! Is Lucy the cat trying to spell out her name with this L-shaped snooze? It certainly looks like it! Her owner, Fiona Mackenzie (
lucythecat), says the white fluffball can be found sleeping in all sorts of wacky positions around her Melbourne, Australia, home.
"Normally the legs stick up in the air looking ridiculous," Mackenzie says of her 4-year-old rescue kitty, who actually belongs to her 8-year-old daughter Catriona.
The feline's favorite place to doze off? "That would probably be my daughter’s chest of drawers," she says. "In particular the bottom drawer which is home to woolens and other warm clothing. If you leave it open, prepare for all clothing to be covered in white fur."
When she's not spelling in her sleep, Lucy is tormenting her roommate, a "very naughty and completely stupid black cocker spaniel" named Licorice. "Sometimes, when she knows he wants to go to bed, she’ll jump on his bed and just sit there," says Mackenzie. "He gets this really daft, confused look on his face. I’ll pick her up and remove her for him."
The kitty also has a fixation with the runner carpet that used to be in the family's hallway. "Lucy liked to roll herself up in it. Eventually it was removed so that this ball of carpet didn’t trip someone over," says Mackenzie. Now Lucy and Licorice get their kicks racing each other up and down the corridor. "How something doesn’t get broken is a miracle," adds Mackenzie.
Who knew that this angelic-looking cat could stir up so much mischief? Lucy, can you give us a 'T' for trouble?
