Brad Pitt – newly separated from wife Jennifer Aniston – is once again on the move: After a quick trip to Tokyo to promote the release there of Ocean’s Twelve, the star arrived back in Los Angeles late Thursday night.
The reason? On Saturday, Pitt – along with dozens of other celebrities – will participate in the NBC telethon Tsunami Aid: A Concert for Hope to raise money for victims of the Dec. 26 tsunami. Clooney reportedly was due to make his appearance from Los Angeles.
A week ago, Pitt and Aniston issued a joint statement to PEOPLE announcing their separation. On Wednesday, Aniston was seen shooting her new movie, Friends With Money, in Santa Monica, Calif., with costar Frances McDormand.
In addition to Pitt, other names added to the all-star roster on the TV benefit are Robert De Niro, Natalie Portman, Nicollette Sheridan, Josh Groban, Hugh Grant, Andy Garcia, Lucy Liu, Naomi Watts, and Jay Leno, AP reports.
Those previously announced to appear include Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Meg Ryan, Clint Eastwood and FOX News commentator Bill O’Reilly, at the personal invitation of Clooney.
The two-hour special is scheduled to air live at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, Telemundo, Pax and various cable channels.
