Though she’s normally a fixture on the West Coast club scene, Paris Hilton recently hit the New York City party circuit with boyfriend Stavros Niarchos during a whirlwind night out.
One of the couple’s stops on their Big Apple club tour was newly opened Stereo, in the Chelsea neighborhood. Along with Hilton’s sister Nicky and her boyfriend, Entourage star Kevin Connolly, the duo rolled in to the hip venue at around 12:15 a.m., where they took up residence in a corner booth adjacent to a table occupied by That ’70s Show’s Danny Masterson. Hilton – wearing a denim miniskirt – and Niarchos made out and shared two bottles of vodka and several beers with their pals.
But the night wasn’t nearly over: At 2:15 a.m., Hilton and Niarchos and their posse moved to Marquee, where they secured a table in the VIP section and bouncers held back onlookers from getting too close. An hour later, they trotted off to Bungalow 8. A group of Australian tourists was asked to vacate a bar-side booth so that the couple could hold court there. Along with owner Amy Sacco, they ordered “Hilton” shots all around and danced and drank until closing time.
She’s Got Curves
Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez aren’t the only celebrities who are proud to be bootylicious: R&B singer Ashanti is joining the bandwagon with her new Delicious Curves denim collection by Mudd. “It’s a wonderful idea to let girls know that women’s curves are beautiful,” she said at the recent launch event at Macy’s in New York City. “Don’t be ashamed to show them.”
Even though the natural-born athlete – who danced, ran track and played softball in high school – has always been in shape, Ashanti admits, “I wish I had a little more of this and a little less this.” One thing the singer – who also has her own perfume, Precious Jewel – doesn’t have enough of these days is free time. She recently finished shooting the romantic comedy John Tucker Must Die with Desperate Housewives’ Jesse Metcalfe and she’s heading into the studio to record the follow-up to her platinum-selling Concrete Rose after the New Year.
Caught in the Act
Scarlett Johansson, apologizing to the management of New York City club Home for dancing on one of their sofas. The starlet was drinking nothing but cranberry juice at the time. Also on hand: Jessica Alba, sitting a few tables away.
Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias, stopping in to Taste Bakery in Miami Beach. Two hours later, a solo Kournikova shopped at nearby clothing store Intermix.
Pierce Brosnan, lunching at Joseph’s Table restaurant in the La Fonda Hotel in Taos, N.M. The eatery on Taos Plaza is also a favorite dining spot of Julia Roberts and husband Danny Moder.
