According to the rumor mill, One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush is dating not one but two eligible bachelors: Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and actor Austin Nichols (Glory Road). “We all met up on a hike and, apparently, I’m with both of them,” she says of the tabloid buzz. “If I have to be in the company of men, I’m glad it’s those two.”
In reality, Bush is single and has been separated since October from her costar and husband of only five months, Chad Michael Murray. So, how has it been working with her ex? “We’re professionals. It’s my job. It’s not really a big deal,” she told us at a recent New York City event to promote the new One Tree Hill soundtrack, Friends with Benefit (proceeds will go toward the National Breast Cancer Foundation). “My life is really great. I can’t begin to complain.”
It’s a blast from the past: Since taking himself out of the running on American Idol last year, Mario Vasquez finally has his debut album coming out next month. “It’s a mix of what I’ve grown up listening to. It’s a bit of Latin, a bit of R&B and soul, old Motown but reinvented for now,” the singer told us at a recent party in L.A. for J Records honcho Clive Davis. And even though he quit Idol early, Vasquez advises the current crop of wannabes to “stay on the show as long as you can. It’s 35 million viewers every week. Take advantage of that.” Words to live by.
