Matt LeBlanc is being accused of an unfriendly business deal – to the tune of $1 million.
The Friends actor’s former business manager, Camille Cerio, says LeBlanc, 40, owes her at least that much in unpaid commission, according to the Associated Press.
In the lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Cerio – who claims she acted as LeBlanc’s manager in 1994 – refers to a letter from that year in which LeBlanc agreed to pay 15 percent of his earnings for “pilot and series derived from Friends Like Us and subsequent jobs derived henceforth” to Cerio.
According to Cerio, she was due to be paid commission from LeBlanc’s income from Friends and its spin-off series Joey, but the payments stopped in 2000. (Friends Like Us was the original title of the hit show Friends, which aired the final season in 2004.)
Cerio is suing for breach of contract and unfair business practice, and in the suit she requests a court order requiring LeBlanc to reveal the amount of money he has earned from Friends and Joey.
The AP reports that LeBlanc’s attorney did not respond immediately to after-hours calls on Tuesday.
