Larry King is the latest celebrity to speak out against homophobia. In a new public service announcement on YouTube, the CNN anchor promotes the National Day of Silence – taking place on April 25 to honor 15-year-old California student Lawrence King, who was murdered by a classmate, allegedly for being gay. “Larry King and I share more in common than just our names,” the anchor says in the new video. “We both believe students should be free to be themselves without the fear of name-calling, bullying or harassment.”

Lance Bass has also joined the campaign, filming his one-minute public-service announcement in support of the 12th annual National Day of Silence.
