Liv Tyler isn’t letting her recent separation from British rocker Royston Langdon keep her from having a happy birthday.
The actress, who turned 31 on Tuesday, celebrated by traveling to Paris for a couple of days with her sister Chelsea, 19.
The single mom told PEOPLE she is “excited” about her vacation. “It’s my birthday tomorrow,” she said Monday night, at a Paris bash called The Blue Soiree at the Hotel Crillon for Lanvin and Acne, “and I’m going to spend it with my sister and we’re going to a Givenchy show. I’m excited to have a little fun here with my sister.”
Sporting a Lanvin black strapless cocktail dress, Tyler also had praise for designer Alber Elbaz. “I love Alber Elbaz,” she said after greeting him with hugs and kisses. “He’s such a kind man. I love Lanvin – he made [the dress] for me.”
The Parisian life seems to suit Tyler, who added, “I woke up this morning to the sounds of birds in the courtyard.”
