Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky’s wedding last Friday at Le Cirque restaurant in Manhattan had guests both in tears and laughter, PEOPLE reports in its latest issue, on sale Friday.
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the ceremony with a poem in which he teased Stern, 54, for his early bedtime habits and love for the TV show The Bachelor.
During the self-written vows, in which Stern told Ostrosky, 36, she was the love of his life, “People were crying,” says a guest. “The vows were from each others’ hearts.”
The guest list for the wedding included Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman and Kelly Ripa, whose husband Mark Consuelos officiated the ceremony.
Ostrosky received a wedding band by jeweler designer Suzanne Wilson, while Stern had the initial “B” (for Beth) tattooed on his ring finger.
During the reception, Billy Joel surprised the newlyweds with an impromptu performance of his hit “You’re My Home.” Later in the evening, John Stamos joined the band on stage and played the drums.
“The wedding was fabulous,” said Joan Rivers of the celebration, which lasted until 1:30 am. “Everyone had a great, great time.”
This is the first marriage for Ostrosky and the second for Stern. Reporting by JEFF SLONIM and DIANE HERBST
