What a night to be in New Orleans! In the Big Easy where she’s shooting a new movie, Earthbound, Kate Hudson didn’t miss the Super Bowl. The actress brought son Ryder, 6, and some friends and family to Morton’s the Steakhouse, where they took in the game on large screen televisions set up for diners. Hudson ordered a bone-in ribeye steak and was cheering on the New Orleans Saints!
Miami, meanwhile, was the place to be for all the stars, who were in town for the Super Bowl. At an Audi-sponsored bash at the W South Beach, Kate Walsh was spotted chatting up friends, while Hilary Swank relaxed on a couch on the other side of the penthouse, sitting near Taylor Lautner. The next night, the hotel hosted the Creative Arts Agency bash, where Alex Rodriguez partied with Cameron Diaz and her Knight and Day costar Tom Cruise, who was also hanging close to wife Katie Holmes. The group danced on the banquettes at Wall, the club inside the W, and drank vodka during their night out.
In Paris to promote his latest flick, Shutter Island, Leonardo DiCaprio made time for his mom Irmelin and girlfriend Bar Refaeli. The trio dined at Pavillon Puebla, an Italian restaurant inside the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, where they ordered appetizers, pasta and a house salad. After dinner, DiCaprio relaxed with a cigar, a restaurant source tells us.
Business or pleasure? Chris Pine and Piper Perabo were spotted outside on the patio at L.A.’s Napa Valley Grille in Westwood Village. “It was just the two of them together,” an onlooker tells us. “They were looking very cozy.” The two split a complimentary brownie and enjoyed drinks – whiskey for him, a vodka tonic for her – as they reviewed what a source describes as script. But although they were sitting at a four-person table, the twosome opted to sit right next to each other. “Their body language was very cute and sweet,” the source says.
