Kenny Chesney has professed his love for the beach, but the country singer has a soft spot for the nation s parks.
“Anyone who spends time in nature realizes what a treasure our National Parks System is,” says Chesney. “But I’m not sure they realize what it costs to maintain.”
To help, the singer has teamed up with the Nature Valley granola bar company to raise money for the National Parks Conservation Association. For each of the first 50,000 movie tickets to his concert film opening April 21, Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D, purchased online at preservetheparks.com, $1 will be donated to the NPCA.
“If we want to have national parks we have to invest in them, says Chesney. “There are very few things you can’t get back or restore, but the national parks, once they’re gone, that’s it.”
