Fans of the late Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein will be in for a special treat May 7 when Iron Man 2 hits theaters.

Just two months before his death by accidental drug overdose, DJ AM filmed a cameo for the highly-anticipated sequel, reports the Los Angeles Times. And, distraught by his death, director Jon Favreau grappled with whether or not to include the bittersweet scene.

“We tried to make it respectful, and for people who know him, they’ll get a kick out of it, and for people who don’t, it will sort of slide by without much notice,” Favreau said, explaining many of the powerhouse deejay’s friends encouraged him to keep the brief part.
