Daniel Radcliffe reluctantly retired his wand for good this week as shooting wrapped up on the final installment of the Harry Potter saga.
“Everyone was really devastated. It was really, really sad,” Radcliffe told the Associated Press Sunday after ending filming on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will be released in two parts. “We’re crying quite a lot.”
With a decade of playing the boy wizard under his belt, Radcliffe says the role has been life-changing. “Everything [about the films] is so linked to my life,” he said at the National Movie Awards in London as shooting was coming to a close. “At the same time, it is exciting. It is the end.”
