Forget the Champagne. How is Catherine Zeta-Jones celebrating her first-ever Tony Award win? By resting!
After collecting a best actress trophy for her performance in the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s 1973 A Little Night Music, Zeta-Jones – who performed at Sunday’s Tonys despite suffering a throat virus – rewarded herself by “taking it easy” the next day, says a friend.
That’s no small feat for a woman who has been headlining eight shows a week since the show opened in December and was battling a throat virus even as she performed “Send in the Clowns” at the Tonys – after rehearsing all morning and appearing in a matinee performance.
