Gwyneth Paltrow will take the next step in her unlikely metamorphosis into a country singer with a live performance at next month’s CMA Awards in Nashville.
The Shakespeare in Love Oscar winner, 38, will be making her live country-singing debut, performing “Country Strong,” the single from her upcoming movie of the same name, with country stalwart Vince Gill.
Paltrow spent months getting down and dirty in the Nashville scene to play an alcoholic country star in Country Strong. She also worked tirelessly on guitar lessons and vocal lessons – with some help from her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
