The long road to the finale of The Bachelor has come to an end. On Monday, Brad Womack did what he couldn’t do during his first stint as the Bachelor in 2007 – he handed out a final rose to the woman who he fell in love with during the show’s 15th season.

Sweet Emily Maynard, a single mom and widow from Charlotte, N.C., was Brad’s final choice. And when he got down on one knee to propose marriage, she accepted.
“Emily, please make me happier than I’ve ever been in my life and marry me,” Womack, 38, said, his voice shaking with emotion.
“I would love to,” Maynard, 25, allowing him to place a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring on her finger.
The happy moment came just after Brad told his other finalist, feisty Chantal O’Brien, “I’ve fallen in love with someone else.”
O’Brien, 28, an executive assistant from Seattle, was heartbroken. As tears filled her eyes, O’Brien said goodbye to Brad as he led her to a limo to take her away.
