Broadway Week on Dancing with the Stars was such a thrill! Everything had to be as big as possible, while also relating our dance to our song, “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” from Monty Python’s Spamalot. Our foxtrot needed to be cheeky with lots of turns and kicks and flicks and skips – all of which we delivered, thanks to Sir Lancelot, a.k.a. my partner Tristan MacManus.
When Carrie Ann said our dance was a “show-stopper,” I think I blacked out. I took her comments very seriously last week and I am so glad I gave her the personality and dance content that she wanted.
For me, this week was all about progress. I mean, HELLO PEOPLE, I did a handstand into Tristan’s face! (He actually had the hard part because he had to catch my feet and turn it into a stunt!) First try in rehearsals, he dropped me on my head and pulled my pants off. Good times! I am still speechless that we pulled it off and got our first 9 of the season all in the same night!
