Age is nothing but a number for Hugh Hefner, who isn’t showing signs of slowing down after turning 87 on Tuesday.
Part of what might keep him youthful? Having Crystal Harris, 26, as his wife.
“I’m having the time of my life,” Harris gushed on Thursday to KTLA. “He’s an amazing man, such a romantic. For Valentine’s Day, he was like, ‘What kind of flowers do you like? Do you like roses? Do you like mixed flowers?’ I like everything, so he got me everything He’s just so sweet.”
But Harris did something just as sweet for her hubby on his big day.
“It was 3-D art I had made,” she explained. “It’s a collection of Playboy magazines, it’s a collection of recycled items sunglasses, pipe, tobacco he used in a little container, even Altoids. His favorite ice cream is strawberry Häagen-Dazs. There’s a little container of that on there somewhere.”
But getting a gift for the man who has everything was a lot more complicated than his purchase of fancy flowers.
“He wears the same kind of thing, his pajamas, every day. [He owns] maybe 200 [pairs] in every color imaginable. It’s a sight to see in the closet. He eats the same kind of food, he wears the same kind of cologne It’s very hard to get him something.”
To top off the festivities, Harris, Hefner and 50 of their closest friends had Casablanca night.
“He watches the movie, Casablanca – It’s his favorite movie – every year on his birthday,” Harris said.
Even with Valentine’s Day and Hefner’s birthday behind them, there’s never a dull moment at the Playboy mansion.
“There always seems to be something going on,” Harris said. “Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the mansion is movie night. We have between 50 and 70 people come over. [There’s a] buffet. We get the movies from the theaters. We’re very lucky. That’s his thing, entertaining.”
