The Smurfs 2 star, 49, takes on a more serious role as a director in the film Lovelace and chatted with PEOPLE this week about “one last thing” …
Last time I danced
Yesterday with my son Hal during his camp singalong. When they counted down, I had to throw him up in the air. If your four-year-old says, “Daddy, you want to dance?” you don’t say no.
I last said I was sorry …
Probably a few minutes ago to my wife [Katie Wright]. We’re moving in so there are a lot of problems. I say “sorry” about every 15-20 minutes.
Last time I was nervous
I got asked to throw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium about two months ago. I threw it about 20 feet wide from home plate. I didn’t get a chance to practice.
I last heard "I love you" …
This morning. It’s loud on the streets here in New York so I pulled out the walkie-talkies to use with the stroller. Hal kept telling me he loved me in the walkie-talkie. “Dad?” “Yeah?” “I still love you.” “Oh good, nothing’s changed.”
