Talk about a late-night TKO.
Justin Timberlake, who just unveiled his new single, “TKO,” on Friday, embarked on an all-out media blitz Tuesday night to hype the upcoming release of The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2, the second volume of his blockbuster comeback effort.
And Timberlake, 32, didn’t hold back: The popster pulled double duty with appearances on two late-night talk shows.
First up: In a booty-shaking display of vintage J.T. showmanship, the singer hit the stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! in L.A. to perform an outdoor concert for a massive sea of fans, who rocked out to his hit “Take Back the Night.”
Dressed in a black suit and fedora, Timberlake hoofed it up for the crowd, even grabbing a fan’s camera phone to shoot video of the audience from the stage.
And that wasn’t the only dose that TV viewers got of the singer Tuesday night.
In a cheeky segment, Timberlake appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where the singer and the host shot the breeze about a variety of topics.
The catch? The duo chatted in nothing but Twitter-ific hashtag lingo, complete with snazzy “hashtag” hand gestures.
Indeed, no topic was off-limits, from Orange Is the New Black to Ray Romano to Miley Cyrus – all of which yielded some sidesplitting yuks.
Kudos, boys. May we suggest one more hashtag: #GiveUsASequelPlease.
