They’ve wined, dined and PDA’ed from Central Park to Saint-Tropez. Now that Ashton Kutcher is finally divorced, there seems to be only one logical stop left for the actor and Mila Kunis on their globe-trotting romance: The altar.
“Ashton and Mila have talked about getting engaged and married for quite awhile,” a business source close to Kutcher tells PEOPLE. “He wants to get engaged during the holidays.”
The last barrier to a proposal finally crumbled this week when the court signed off on Kutcher’s divorce from Demi Moore, two years after the pair announced their separation following six years of marriage.
“Ashton’s been waiting for his divorce to be over for a long time,” another source in the Two and a Half Men star’s inner circle says. “He was annoyed it took so long. It was hanging over his head.”
Here’s a look back at the long road of Kutcher and Kunis’s relationship, from separation amid infidelity reports, to jet-setting romance, to the filing of legal papers.
December 2011: Kutcher filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and not seeking any spousal support or asking the court to deny Moore any. The documents also showed that because the couple had no children together, child support and visitation were not an issue.
April 2012 Kutcher and Kunis were first seen out and about together, having dinner with fellow That 70s Show cast members Wilmer Valderrama and Larua Prepon. At the time, a source told the PEOPLE the two were nothing more than friends – which Kunis’s rep confirmed.
