It seems not everyone predicted Jimmy Fallon’s ascendency to The Tonight Show.

During his first show Monday, Fallon said, “To my buddy who said I’d never be the host of The Tonight Show – and you know who you are – you owe me a hundred bucks, buddy.”

That prompted a seemingly never-ending string of stars to come out and begrudgingly pay Fallon his $100.

Some highlights were former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who told Fallon, “Thanks for bringing it [The Tonight Show] back to New York,” and Stephen Colbert, who paid up with a bucket of pennies, took a selfie with Fallon, and yelled, “Welcome to 11:30, B––––!”
