There were some strange couplings at the Manhattan premiere of Albert Brooks’s new movie “The Muse.” Rolling Stone Keith Richards was hanging out with his good pal Howard Safir, the New York City police commissioner, according to New York’s Daily News. “I met him just last week at the premiere of ‘Mickey Blue Eyes,’” Richards told the News. But the rival New York Post reported that the 55-year-old guitarist spent his time being chummy with another “Muse” party guest: screen diva Lauren Bacall. “They hit it off big time,” a witness told the Post. Even in the most dimly lit room, Howard Safir does not resemble Lauren Bacall.
