Rapper Dr. Dre has filed a federal copyright lawsuit against Napster Inc., which manufactures music-sharing software that is widespread on some college campuses. “I don’t like people stealing my music,” Dre said in a statement Tuesday. “Napster has built a business based on large-scale piracy.” Following a similar suit by Metallica this month, some colleges, such as USC, dropped Napster from their computer networks. Napster had no comment about the litigation.
