Anthony Hopkins, 63, ate some hasty pudding on Thursday. He also had to recite some dialogue from his 1991 Academy Award performance in “The Silence of the Lambs” (in the voices of Sean Connery, Marlon Brando and Jack Nicholson), wear a bra and defend someone from a man dressed as a dragon. By comparison, what he does in “Hannibal” almost seems normal. But Thursday’s activities were all in good fun, with Hopkins receiving Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Man of the Year award, in the form of the brass pot from the university’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals club. (Well, Harvard IS supposed to be the brainiest school in the country.) Last week, the Hasty group gave Drew Barrymore its Woman of the Year award. Past recipients have included last year’s winners Jamie Lee Curtis and Billy Crystal, as well as Paul Newman, John Travolta, Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts and Goldie Hawn.
