Donald Trump didn’t mince words. “In this case, I don’t like excuses,” he bellowed in the boardroom on Thursday night’s edition of NBC’s employment reality show “The Apprentice.”
And the person whose excuse he didn’t care for – in this case, being late from lunch – was Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, 29, a political consultant who once worked in the White House and was, arguably, the least-liked contender still in the race for the top job in the Trump organization. So Omarosa got a pink slip.
“Omarosa had a huge chip on her shoulder, she felt she was superior to the other people,” Trump said. Before she was canned, a teary-eyed Omarosa pleaded her case to The Donald, but it was a no-go.
Ever condescending, Omarosa knocked heads earlier in the proceedings with teammate Heidi Bressler over a lunch break. Omarosa took too much of her sweet time.
“She always has a headache when it’s task time. When it’s reward time, she’s fine,” Bressler said. Then, not mincing her words, Bressler added, “Omarosa’s an absolute lunatic bitch.”
Thursday night’s task was unloading some artwork by up-and-coming artists. None of the contestants really understood what the art was about, and for that matter, it was pretty tasteless stuff to begin with.
On Friday morning’s “Today” show, a very cool and smiley Omarosa said, “I thought I was gone at week three. So the thought that I was still here at week nine was amazing.” She also condescended to say, “Maybe it was time to go” because the others “weren’t used to a strong woman.”
Next up for Omarosa: She’ll make an appearance on Friday night’s “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.
