Matthew Perry flew a group of pals to Las Vegas on a private NBC charter. The gang hit hotspot Light at the Bellagio Hotel on Friday night, where Jerry O’Connell (Crossing Jordan) happened to be attending a bachelor party.
The cast of HBO’s The Sopranos gathered for a steak, lobster and pasta dinner on Friday at Stefano’s Italian restaurant inside the Golden Nugget Hotel, where they were serenaded by singing waiters. “It was a good night, nobody got whacked,” says manager Tony Pacciano. In case you’re curious, James Gandolfini shacked up – where else? – in the resort’s Frank Sinatra suite.
The Golden Nugget is also the backdrop for FOX’s new reality series The Casino, which follows dot-com millionaires Tom Breitling and Tim Poster, both 34, as they become the city’s youngest casino operators. “A lot of shows, like Las Vegas, have fictionalized things,” says Breitling, who admits to being addicted to the NBC series. But would he hire star Josh Duhamel, who plays an up-and-coming surveillance whiz on the sexy drama? “Absolutely,” Breitling says with a laugh. “I think Josh is great. I would hire him as a make-believe security guy.”
A private charter carrying Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Shannon Elizabeth and other stars to Maxim’s Hot 100 party at the Hard Rock Hotel was stuck on the runway in Los Angeles for nearly a half-hour on Friday afternoon, while the plane carrying the casket of former president Ronald Reagan prepared to land. To pass the time, That ’70s Show stars Danny Masterson and Laura Prepon helped organize an impromptu poker tourney in the back of the plane.
Snoop Dogg serenaded Paris Hilton onstage during a special pre-dawn performance at Saturday’s Maxim Hot 100 party at The Hard Rock. The newly single rapper-actor called Hilton “beautiful” before planting a kiss on her in front of nearly 1,500 guests. Hmmm – maybe he was trying to recruit her for a Girls Gone Wild video?
Also at the bash in the hotel’s Body English nightclub were Jared Leto, Tori Spelling and Aisha Tyler. Maxim’s July cover girl, Kim Smith, ran up to Vince Vaughn and introduced herself, saying she was his biggest fan. They chatted for a while, as her boyfriend, Tyson Ritter from the band All-American Rejects, looked on.
