Law & Order Director Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

Law and Order director, Jason “Jace” Alexander, has been arrested on two charges of child pornography.

Westchester Country District Attorney, Janet DiFiore, announced in a statement on Wednesday that Alexander has been charged with one felony count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one felony count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.

Dennis Farina, of Law & Order, Dies

Dennis Farina, a familiar TV and movie face who played roles on both sides of the law, died Monday morning in a Scottsdale, Ariz., hospital. He was 69.

His rep, Lori De Waal, tells the Associated Press that Farina had suffered a blood clot in his lung.

A Chicago native from a large Sicilian-American family, Farina served for 18 years on the Chicago police force’s burglary division before turning to acting when he was 37.

Mariska Hargitay to Head Back to Work

After a nearly three-week absence, Mariska Hargitay is scheduled to return to the set of Law & Order: SVU on Monday, a rep for NBC confirms to PEOPLE.

Hargitay, 44, underwent surgery for a partially collapsed lung in early January, but returned to work later that month. She went back into the hospital again on March 3 and has been sidelined ever since. The Emmy winner has not revealed the cause of her ailment.
