They were always there “for all the right reasons.” And even now, after 25 combined seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, fans still haven’t gotten tired of the drama, cat fights, and hot tub hijinks that make for an amazing season.

Bachelor Charlie O'Connell Finds Match

Charlie O’Connell found his love match on Monday night’s finale of The Bachelor, picking petite 24-year-old blonde nurse, Sarah Brice.

“Now it can finally be just you and me,” O’Connell said through tears as he gave the final rose to Brice, known as “Sarah B.” during the show. “I love you,” he added.

O’Connell, who was criticized by fans on The Bachelor’s message boards during the season as being “dumb” and “a creep,” also offered a diamond ring to his sweetheart, though he did not propose. Instead the gem is meant to be a promise ring.

Viewers Bash Bachelor Charlie as 'Gross'

The honeymoon is over for the current incarnation of ABC’s The Bachelor as far as viewers are concerned, with message boards for the show loudly deriding the series – and the bachelor himself – as degrading.

“I think (Charlie) is the typical guy that most women try to avoid and yet these women are throwing themselves at him,” reads one posting.

RATED: In its season premiere Monday night, the two-hour edition of ABC’s The Bachelor, starring Charlie O’Connell (brother of Crossing Jordan’s Jerry), proved that the honeymoon is over for the dating-game franchise. The show averaged a disappointing 8.26 million viewers, according to preliminary ratings, putting it in fourth place in the 9-10 p.m. timeslot and only a slightly better third place from 10-11 p.m.
