And he celebrated his victory appropriately – by jumping up and down, smiling. Despite winning three games, the actor was trounced in the end by Akon.

“I think he’d be very proud,” says producer Tricky Stewart, who worked on “Keep Your Head Up.” “If I didn’t think he’s be proud, I wouldn’t do this.”

Akon Pleads Guilty to Harassment for Tossing Fan

Akon pleaded guilty to harassment Wednesday for throwing a fan off stage during a June 2007 concert.

The singer, 35, must pay a $250 fine and perform 65 hours of community service, but he will serve no jail time, the Associated Press reports.

Last year, Akon entered a not guilty plea in a Fishkill, N.Y., courtroom, disputing that he threw a teenager off the stage in a minor league baseball stadium near Poughkeepsie. A nearby concertgoer alleged that she suffered a concussion when the teen landed on her.

• Danny Federici, Bruce Springsteen’s longtime keyboardist, died April 17 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. The 58-year-old E Street Band member had been fighting melanoma for three years. “Danny and I worked together for 40 years – he was the most wonderfully fluid keyboard player and a pure natural musician. I loved him very much … we grew up together,” Springsteen wrote on his website.

Taylor Swift Goes on Grammy Hugging Spree

Called upon on Thursday to be one of the announcers of the 50th annual Grammy Awards nominations, country star Taylor Swift heard her own name announced by the Foo Fighters – she’s in the running as best new artist.

That was all the 17-year-old had to hear. Flush with excitement, an ecstatic Swift rushed right over to Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins and hugged them like crazy.

Not to be outdone, fellow announcer George Lopez reached over and embraced Swift.

“Don’t worry, Taylor,” said Grohl, “you got it in the bag.”

Akon Pleads Not Guilty to Fan-Tossing

Singer Akon pleaded not guilty to charges Monday in connection with an incident in June in which he threw a fan off a concert stage – and allegedly caused another fan in the crowd to suffer a concussion.

Akon, 34, entered his plea in a courtroom in Fishkill, N.Y., where the concert took place this summer, the Associated Press reports. He faces misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment.

Separately, the singer issued a statement on Monday saying he regrets the incident.

The YouTube clip of Akon tossing a 15-year-old fan into the crowd of a concert has come back to haunt him: Police are slapping the hip-hop star with criminal charges after a fan said she suffered a concussion in the incident.

Akon is due in a Fishkill, N.Y., courtroom Monday to be arraigned on misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment, the Associated Press reports.

Cops Looking for Fan Tossed by Akon

Musician Akon may face police questioning after he tossed an audience member from the stage into the crowd, in an incident caught on video and posted on the Web. (See the YouTube clip below.)

Detective Lt. John Berlingieri of the Fishkill Police said officers were looking for the young man at the Sunday concert who was plucked from the audience by a security guard, directed to the sage, then thrown back to the crowd, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.
