In an exclusive promo, Samberg encourages the TV viewing audiences to get involved in the show by providing them a very long list of hashtags they can use while watching. Among them: #ShwagBag and #Trashbag.

Andy Samberg to Host the Emmys on Fox in September

Fox didn’t have to look far for the perfect comedian to host the Emmys this September.

Former Saturday Night Live star Andy Samberg – who plays Det. Jake Peralta on Fox’s Sunday night comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine – will take over the emcee duties on Sept. 20.

It is Fox’s turn this year to air the Emmys, which will air live coast-to-coast (8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT).
