Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall got into a flap when they reunited with an old friend at the annual Sandringham Flower Show on Wednesday.

The royal couple came face-to-beak with Zephyr, a 4-year-old bald eagle, and were happily chatting to his handler when the bird suddenly flapped his wings, catching them by surprise.

The prince said he wasn’t going to hold the bird, which is the mascot for a squadron of the Army Air Corps, because he has done so before – and knows what he can do!

There was no shortage of delectable treats at a charity tea party Camilla hosted on Wednesday at Llwynywermod, the Welsh home she shares with Charles. Among the goodies carefully laid out: jam tarts and scones topped with whipped cream, tiny squares of egg and ham sandwiches, mini sausages, jelly and cream and colorful cupcakes brownies galore.

But no one seemed to be touching them!
