Country stars went to bat for a good cause Saturday at Greer Stadium in Nashville, raising over $200,000 for cancer research at the 24th annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game during CMA Music Fest.
And while everyone was there to have a little fun and support the cause, it hit a little closer to home for some.
Luke Bryan is the leading man of this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards – nominated for entertainer of the year, male vocalist of the year, album of the year and he’s also co-hosting the show – but thanks to Justin Moore and his teammates, Bryan can’t add bow and arrow champion to his list of credits this time around.
If big brothers excel at one thing, it’s protecting their little sisters. But Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough says his sister, Julianne Hough, is doing just fine after her breakup with Chuck Wicks.
Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks may have shown a united front by attending the Country Music Association Awards together on Wednesday, but one night later, Hough confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple has indeed parted ways.
Despite their recent split, Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks made the rounds together at Wednesday’s Country Music Association Awards in Nashville.
“Julianne is actually my date tonight, so it’s all good man,” Wicks told ET. (He was working for them as a special correspondent.) “We’re going to have a good time and we will address [the breakup] together, but right now we’re going to have a lot of fun.”
Julianne Hough fans who saw her perform at the 22nd annual Pineapple Festival in Jensen Beach, Fla., on Nov. 7 likely had no inkling she and boyfriend Chuck Wicks were on the verge of a split: When Hough came down with the flu, it was Wicks who took her place.
