Edie Falco Meets 33-Lb. Cat Sponge Bob

Edie Falco brought in the big guns for a charity event Thursday in New York City – her own!

The Nurse Jackie star met a fat cat – 33-lb. Sponge Bob – at SoHo-based shelter Animal Haven’s 2nd Annual Performance for the Animals, and easily lifted up the outsize cat.

“I have an 85-lb. dog at home!” she explained to handlers at the event. Falco kept the 9-year-old cat in her arms for several minutes while she did interviews with press, and later remarked that he was “sweet.”
