Jaden Smith is clearly a master of the unconventional prom look.
The 16-year-old son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith attended prom with actress Amandla Stenberg (aka Rue from The Hunger Games) on Friday and he wasn’t afraid to break out another head-turning look.
Jaden Smith clearly knows how to embrace music festival style.
The 16-year-old son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith spent Friday at Coachella, in Indio, California, in an apparent T-shirt dress draped over breezy black shorts. At least part of the time he also wore a flower crown made of red roses.
Just last month, Jaden Smith said his wardrobe is inspired by superheroes and that “if somebody is just wearing something for the blogs, that’s really sad because they’re not living for themselves.”
And his latest fashion statement is keeping true to that mantra: The 16-year-old actor-rapper stepped out in what appeared to be a women’s black dress paired over denim shorts in Calabasas, California, and also shared photos of his outfits on social media.
She may no longer have the long hair to whip about, but that didn’t stop a Brooklyn audience from enjoying Willow Smith’s five-song set on Friday night at Brooklyn CMJ pop-up venue The Fader Fort.
A 13-year-old Willow Smith took the stage for the first time in three years, performing tracks from a new album due out in November and showing off a much more grown-up, soulful sound. And yes, she still performed “Whip My Hair,” cropped locks notwithstanding.
