CAST: In two high-profile casting announcements, Emmy-winner Kim Delaney is heading to FOX’s The O.C. and Teri Polo is checking into NBC’s The West Wing, says the Hollywood Reporter. For at least five episodes, NYPD Blue vet Delaney, 42, will play an ex-flame who reappears in the life of character Sandy Cohen (Peter Gallagher). The O.C. returns on Thursday.

Actress Kim Delaney is leaving CBS’s hit new drama “CSI: Miami,” reports Variety, which describes her exit as “an unexpected twist worthy of one of the show’s episodes.”

The final episode featuring her in the role of Megan Donner has already been filmed and is set to air Nov. 25.

Caruso: From Swamps to South Beach

“NYPD Blue” alums David Caruso, 46, and Kim Delaney, 40, now set to costar in CBS’s upcoming fall series “CSI: Miami,” took a welcome break this weekend from filming in the 100-degreee swamps of Florida’s Everglades, reports PEOPLE. They were among the 400 guests who turned up at Miami’s Sagamore Hotel to celebrate “Pearl Harbor” producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s kick-off of his latest flick, “Bad Boys 2,” a sequel to the 1995 action-comedy film “Bad Boys,” starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Former 'NYPD Blue' Star Delaney Busted

Actress Kim Delaney, who played an alcoholic detective on “NYPD Blue,” was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of drunken driving, police in Malibu said. According to reports, Delaney, 40, was busted outside her home at 7:50 p.m. Saturday after a witness driving behind her rang authorities on his cell phone to say that her vehicle was moving erratically. “He followed her to the house,” Los Angeles County sheriff’s department Sgt. Peter Charbonneau told Reuters. “Deputies arrived at the house.
