Nicollette Sheridan Case: Battery Charge Dismissed

There’s been a huge sigh of relief on Wisteria Lane.

A judge on Tuesday dismissed the most sensational charge in Nicollette Sheridan’s wrongful termination suit – a battery charge against producer Marc Cherry for allegedly slapping her in the head during an argument.

The jury in Los Angeles must still consider whether the actress, 48, was fired from ABC’s Desperate Housewives in retaliation for complaining about the incident.

After a dispute about her lines, Nicollette Sheridan says that Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry settled the argument in a shocking way.

He hit her with his open hand, she testified in court Thursday.

“It was a nice wallop to my head,” the actress said in her multimillion-dollar wrongful termination trial in a Los Angeles courtroom.

Asked by her lawyer if she was willing to demonstrate in court for him, she said, “I don’t want to hurt you.”
