Michelle Branch Files for Divorce

Michelle Branch’s marriage wasn’t all she wanted: The musician has split from her husband of more than a decade.

Branch, 31, filed for divorce from Teddy Landau, 50, on Feb. 9, citing irreconcilable differences, according to the court document obtained by PEOPLE. The couple separated in January 2014.

The “Everywhere” singer married Landau, her former bassist, in May 2004 in Mexico.

“Once I had my daughter, Owen, I enjoyed baking that much more,” Branch, 26, tells PEOPLE. “It’s such a mother-daughter thing to do. It all comes down to being with family and doing something for your family. I think that’s why we get an urge to bake at the holidays. We all get an urge to be close and spend time with each other over a cup of coffee and a piece of pie.”

“I love crumb-topping pies,” Branch says of the dish. “So I just saw the recipe and tried it one year and from then on it just became the staple holiday pie.”

Just how much does the singer adore it?

“I was thinking of tattooing the crust recipe on my arm,” she says, laughing. The final product is a combination of a Gourmet crust recipe and a filling from New York’s Buttercup Bake Shop. “You can’t go wrong with apple pie,” Branch says. “If you eat it for breakfast with ice cream, you’ve got fruit and dairy for the day!”

Michelle Branch Halts Show to Catch Alleged Stalker

A man who has allegedly been stalking Michelle Branch caused the singer to stop her concert in Sheboygan, Wis., this week.

“Michelle Branch just said, ‘Wait a second. There’s a guy in the audience – striped shirt and glasses – can somebody check him out?’ ” audience member Cali Haas, 20, of Sheboygan, tells the Associated Press. “It left everyone just so confused, like, ‘Is this a joke, part of the show?’ ” Haas added.

While most musicians leave their families behind to embark on lengthy tours, Michelle Branch gets to take hers with her on The Wreckers’ current U.S. outing. Her husband Teddy Landau is never too far from her sight as he is the bassist in the band and the couple brings along their daughter Owen Isabelle for the ride too. Owen, 19 months tomorrow, helps keep things real for Michelle, 23, and her Wreck-ing partner, Jessica Harp.

Michelle Branch Has a Baby Girl

Singer Michelle Branch has given birth to a 7 lb. 12 oz. baby girl named Owen, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

Branch, 22, is resting comfortably in a Los Angeles hospital.

The singer and her husband, Teddy Landau, who is the bass player in her band, were married in July 2004. This is their first child.

Branch, who is perhaps best known for her hit “Everywhere,” first picked up the guitar at age 14.

She and Landau have been touring together since 2003. Her next solo album is due out in 2006.

HITCHED: Singer Michelle Branch, who turns 21 today, married her bassist, Teddy Landau. The tuneful birthday girl, who first picked up a guitar at age 14 and made her debut with the hit “Everywhere,” has been touring with Landau since 2003. Branch recently signed on as a guest creator for Estee Lauder’s new cosmetics line Flirt!, and the songstress is designing a line of nail polish and matching lip color, with shades named after song titles from her 2003 Hotel Paper album.
