Pat O’Brien is leaving the entertainment show The Insider, PEOPLE has learned.

“Pat O’Brien is a talented broadcaster who has been a part of The Insider family from the very beginning,” says a spokesperson for the show. “Although we have decided to part ways, everyone at CBS Television Distribution and The Insider greatly appreciate and respect all his contributions to our show. We wish Pat much success in his future endeavors.”

No reason was given for his departure.

Pat O'Brien to Wed Girlfriend

After five years together, The Insider host Pat O’Brien and his girlfriend Betsy Stephens plan to marry.

“It’s probably going to be next fall,” O’Brien, with Stephens at his side, told PEOPLE at A-Rod’s All-Star party at New York City’s 40/40 Monday. “We’re in love and in no big hurry. We don’t know if it will take place – in Jamaica, New York, or Nantucket.”

“I think we’re going to sneak off and do something really romantic,” said Stephens, who recalled first meeting O’Brien at Los Angeles’s Staples Center. “It was a basketball event.”

Pat O'Brien Is Back in Rehab

Pat O’Brien, co-host of The Insider, has returned to a rehab center.

The entertainment host “has entered a rehabilitation facility for treatment,” according to a statement posted on the Insider’s Web site. “O’Brien and his doctors felt this is the best course for maintaining his sobriety.”

Pat O’Brien spent years covering the stories behind Hollywood’s stories for Access Hollywood and The Insider, before his behavior became a story itself. Last month, O’Brien checked himself in for a 40-day stint an alcohol rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles, after it was revealed that the celebrity host had left obscene voicemails that were then distributed on the Internet.

Insider Anchor Pat O'Brien Enters Rehab

TV journalist Pat O’Brien, a veteran of CBS Sports, Access Hollywood and now, The Insider, has entered an alcohol rehabilitation program, he said in a statement Sunday.

“I have had a problem with alcohol. I have decided to take action by checking myself into an intensive recovery program,” said the host, 57, according to the Associated Press. “Overcoming this problem is a top priority in my life and I am excited to return to work as soon as I am able.”

Details of where and for how long he will be in the program were not revealed.
