Joaquin Phoenix Opens Up About His Childhood in a Cult – and His Loopy Letterman Appearance

Joaquin Phoenix knows a thing about cult followings – and not just the Hollywood fandom kind.

In the December issue of Playboy, which hits newsstands Friday, the actor opens up about his family’s involvement in the Children of God religious group during the ’70s – a topic, he says, that still has the public intrigued.

Maya Rudolph Is Expecting Her Third Child

It’s about to be three’s company for Maya Rudolph.

The Bridesmaids star, 38, is pregnant with her third child, sources confirm to PEOPLE.

Rudolph and director Paul Thomas Anderson, 40, are already parents to daughters Pearl, 5, and Lucille, 16 months.

“I feel like everyone who has had more then one [child] says you should do it,” Rudolph said in 2009 when she announced she was expecting her second child. “It’s nice to have this experience.”

Maya Rudolph Welcomes a Girl

After playing pregnant in this summer’s Away We Go, Maya Rudolph has welcomed a real-life bundle of joy: her second child with director Paul Thomas Anderson.

The couple’s daughter, Lucille, was born Nov. 6 in Los Angeles, the Saturday Night Live alum’s rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Lucille joins big sister Pearl, 4. As with their first child, Rudolph and Anderson, 39, chose not to find out the sex of the baby prior to delivery.
