After last week’s shocking double elimination, which sent the former hockey pro and partner Karina Smirnoff packing, Avery says it was a disagreement with producer Conrad Green – not his dance technique – that caused his early exit.

“I will tell everyone on #GMA tomorrow why i was voted off … my partner @Karina_Smirnoff is AMAZING,” he Tweeted March 24, after the duo was eliminated.

Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars kicked off with a selection of surprises.

Not only did contestants learn right at the beginning that there was a double elimination to take place during the show, but the leader board’s lowest scorer Billy Dee Williams – whose face expressed fear of being sent home – was saved almost immediately, and went on to dance a 15-point tango with Emma Slater that judge Len Goodman said “didn’t have enough attack.”

Hours after announcing their plans to tie the knot on Wednesday, former NHL star Sean Avery and model Hilary Rhoda made a photogenic pair at the after party for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at TAO Downtown.

Rhoda, 26, who was one of the top models walking the runway earlier in the night, looked stunning in a floral silk dress with leather accents. She was also wearing her latest accessory – a sparkling diamond ring!

Sean Avery Arrested at His Home

New York Rangers star Sean Avery was arrested at his Hollywood home early Friday and charged with battery on a police officer, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman tells PEOPLE.

The arrest took place at 1 a.m, said the rep. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood division also confirmed the arrest, and said on Friday morning, “He is in jail and still here – he will be bailing out shortly. He battered one of our officers.”
