It was a rare, emotional evening for Trisha Yearwood.

“Most of you who know me and my husband know I am not the crier in this marriage,” Yearwood told close to 200 family, friends and industry members gathered Tuesday night in the rotunda of Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for the opening of “Trisha Yearwood: The Song Remembers When,” an exhibit honoring her life and career. “But I am so emotional right now you might just witness something new tonight.”
