New royal fact of the day: Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were brought into the world by the same doctor.

Charles, 65, revealed the news to surprised medics during a visit to a top London hospital on Thursday.

Praising the staff at King’s College Hospital in South London, Charles added, “My darling wife was born here but amazingly we had the same gynecologist and nurse.”

Charles was born in Nov. 14, 1948 at Buckingham Palace, while Camilla was born four miles south in July 17, 1947 at the hospital – where the royal obstetrician was then based.

Charles and Camilla were touring the neo-natal ward at King’s College Hospital, where he told the staff, “The work you do here is fantastic, particularly having seen the neonatal unit and elderly wing – ever more significant with our advancing age!”

During the visit, Camilla cheered up sick babies by making faces. Amy Benardout, 19, whose 5-month-old son Jessie is a patient at the hospital, told reporters, “Camilla was fantastic. She had Jessie in fits of giggles and was so good with him, pulling funny faces to make him laugh. She’s a gran herself so she’s obviously good with babies.”
