Looks like some hot times ahead.
Her latest comes from country-based businesswoman Theresa Edwards, whose company specializes in built-to-order fireplaces of Scottish oak.
“She said that they have been doing their house up recently, and she said they were really struggling for fireplaces,” Edwards tells PEOPLE. “She asked if we did some, and when I said yes, she said, ‘I will check out your website.’ ”
Edwards’s company, Strathearn Stone and Timber, specializes in tailor-made slate for worktops, fireplaces and flooring and is the only business in the small Scottish village of Forteviot, where Kate and William visited last week.
A Strathearn fireplace, with a mantelpiece of solid grain-lined oak, costs around $300.
“She realized we ran the only business in the village and was asking about how we did our marketing,” Edwards adds. “She said it was really lovely to see the small village and people coming together.”
